Up for an award.....

Everyone should be very proud of themselves- Mrs Wilkinson (Head) has been nominated for an award in the "Link Teacher of the year" category for Young Enterprise throughout the north east of England. This nomination could not have happened without all the support and help that everyone has given to our "business" intiatives this year- from Young Enterprise programmes in September 2011 to the Tuck Shop and Fair Trade Friday "cookins" and then, of course, our fantastic "Believe and Achieve" day in March, which was such a fantastic success. The nomination makes us feel very proud in school, as it afirms to us that the work we are doing to raise aspirations and encourage business links is a very vital one in todays world. Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs Bowe are going to attend a "black tie" dinner at the Marriott Hotel in Gosforth in June, when winners in all categories will be announced. We will let you know how we get on (but it is definitely a "posh frock" do!) We will take lots of pictures to share with everyone. Hopefully this will spur us on - and yes, of course we will organise "Believe and Achieve" again for next year! Tahnk you for your continued support,
Mrs W
