Geography Mark

In Summer Term 2019 subject leader monitoring, Miss Cooper identified that our Geography curriculum did not fully meet the requirements and we could be much more effective in developing our pupils as Geographers. 

 

Over the past two years, including during the global pandemic, she has worked hard to develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure the Geography curriculum is appropriate for our pupils. She has trained staff and worked, with the support of the Geography Association to develop the curriculum so teaching and learning is as effective as possible. 

 

In June 2021, Miss Cooper presented her application for assessment towards the Primary Geography Mark to the Geography Association (see below) and was awarded the Bronze Award in September 2021. I am sure you will join me in thanking her for her focus and dedication in ensuring, as Geographers, our staff and pupils can be the best they can be!
