PowerPoint
In Computing, year 5 have used research to create a PowerPoint all about the UK. They used their prior learning of how to use PowerPoint to modify their slides.
The children did this by using some of these tools,
- indenting (adding in a small gap at the start)
- features
- font (text type + size)
- animation + transition (how to make a slide run smoothly)
- sequencing
- spell check
- object adding
- trigger
- images
- hyperlinks (adding in a weblink)
They are continuing their PowerPoints in the next few Computing sessions, we can't wait to see how they turn out!
Touch-type
Within Computing Year 3 and 4 have been starting to touch-type, learning about the home-row key and where our fingers naturally sit on a keyboard. Staff have been incredibly impressed with the effort that everyone has put in as it is NOT AN EASY TASK! The concentration of every child, just goes to show how much they are using their growth mindset and giving every new task a try
