Friendly WiFi
Friendly WiFi is a government-initiated safe certification standard for public WiFi. The symbol tells you that the WiFi service meets minimum filtering standards - particularly in areas where children are present.
The use of the logo shows that our WiFi service blocks access to websites displaying phornography, child sexual abuse material and web pages known by the Internet Watch Foundation, or other reputable providers, to host indecent images of children.
We also check and block access to protect against terrorism, helping to minimise the potential for searches to return results linking to terrorist content and activity.
This means that we have created a safe user experience for all by not allowing exposure to viewing harmful or illicet content when browsing the internet and supports our obligations relating to filtering and monitoring in the latest version of Keeping Children Safe in Education.
