The school opens at 8:15am for breakfast club, last entry is 8:30am. Children need to enter school at 8:45am ready to start lessons at 8:55am. Y3/4 enter via the side gate, Y5/6 by the main entrance.   • Mrs. Brooke Pickett - Deputy Headteacher, Teaching and Learning Leader

  • Ms. Fahey - Lead First Aider responsible for Medical Care Pans and medicines in school
  • Designated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Governor, Mr David Bowes - Designated LAC (Looked After Child) Governor

 

It is the SENDCo’s job to:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school’s SEND policy
  2. Co-ordinate provision for a Looked After Child who has special educational needs
  3. Advise teachers on using a graduated approach to providing SEN support
  4. Advise on the deployment of the school’s delegated budget and other resources to meet the pupil’s needs effectively
  5. Liaise with parents/carers of pupils with SEN
  6. Liaise with and be a key point of contact for external agencies
  7. Ensure that the school keeps the records of all SEN pupils up to date
  8. Work with the head teacher and school governors to ensure that the school meets its responsibilities with regard to reasonable adjustments and access arrangements by phoning the school on 01325 300236 or sending an email to: stfrancis@durhamlearning.net
