Today staff, Governors and the Year 3 and 4 children visited South Lakes Safari Zoo in Cumbria.
We spent four hours exploring the zoo and learning about many endangered species. Children particularly enjoyed feeding Giraffes, Lemurs and watching the Lions being fed. lemur feeding took place in the Madagascar area where over 100 Lemurs roam free, living wild in the trees. They were so cute and we were really tempted to strike them, but couldn't as they are wild. All children had the chance to feed them banana.
Some children spent time in with the penguins and had their pictures taken stood by them.
As well as enjoying the wild animals children in Mrs Lakey's class spent a lot of time posing with the metal animals and perfecting their photography skills.
Please se check out the photographs in the gallery. They are all taken by children and I am sure you will be impressed how their digital imagery skills are developing.
