St Francis Church of England Aided Junior School

"To be the best we can be"

I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed Headteacher for St Francis'. I'm so happy that we can continue to work together to help every child become the 'best they can be,' by continuing the hard work of our previous Headteacher, Mrs Wilkinson. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL BEFORE 8:40am. Y3/4 will enter via the side entrance, Y5/6 via the main entrance. Our Out of Hours Covid-19 reporting line is 07768 688785. Please check the Key Information tab on a regular basis for updated risk assessments. Thank you for your continued support, Mrs. Lakey.

School Closure due to Support Staff Strike

Due to industrial action by support staff on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th November 2016, we have no alternative but to partially close the school as follows:

WEDNESDAY 23rd - school will open for children in Years 5 and 6 at 11 am and the school day will end as normal at 3.10 pm.  THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST CLUB.  Children in Years 3 and 4 will not be required to attend as we cannot cover these classes on Wednesday.

THURSDAY 24th - school will open for children in Years 3 and 4 at 11 am and the school day will end as normal at 3.10 pm.  THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST CLUB.  Children in Years 5 and 6 will not be required to attend as we cannot cover these classes on Thursday.

Any absences will be noted as unauthorised, unless they are due to illness.

The school will fully re-open on Friday 25th November 2016 with Breakfast Club at 8.15 am.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Jane Wilkinson (Head)
