Design Technology

We promote spiritual development in Design Technology by:

 

  • Understanding how a key event/individual has influenced the development of the chosen medium. (British Values: Mutual Respect and Tolerance) 
  • Having opportunities to self-reflect on one's own product and performance in creating it.  
  • Being sympathetic towards oneself when reviewing a product observing the strength not just the failings. (British Values: Mutual Respect and Tolerance) 
  • Gaining inner strength from reviewing a personal product and trying again to improve it. Democracy  
  • To know one's own strengths and weakness and working on these to be better in each area. (British Value: Individual Liberty)  
  • Developing the process of creative thinking and innovation that inspires children to bring out undiscovered talents, developing self-confidence and belief in their own abilities. (British Values: Democracy and Individual Liberty)
