  • A taste of Africa with the Lions of Zululand!

    What a day! We have been transported into Zululand through dance and song!

    We began the day with a midblowing Zulu concert.  Year 2 from Horndale joined us and proved to be a very brave front row! Many children performed as part of the show and gave a great performance. 

    For the rest of the day we split into workshops and learnt all about Zulu culture.  Finally we had a dance and sing off in the hall.

  • Podcast with Star Radio

    It seems like ages ago now.....but way back in February all the pupils here at St Francis' were involved in a "Media Day" with Star Radio, from Darlington. We had a fab day pulling together "media" ideas, considering all the elements that needed to go into producing an advert.....and being most impressive when asked to develop the concept of "apple!" In the morning all children were involved in quizzes, question and answer and slogan work. In the afternoon Y6 were given the task of producing a "showreel" for our weviste to explain what St Francis' is all about. Our friends from Star Radio were really impressed by both the mature attitudes and creative ability shown by all our pupils. The show reel was finally finsihed a coupl of weeks ago - so now you can listen to it here on the website (in the "Gallery" section! Enjoy!
