  • Bangaldeshi Visitors Wave Goodbye

    Fri 28 Sep 2012
The school were sad to say goodbye to Mr Romendu Day and Mr Murshet who were visiting tis week from our partner school, Chrisitan Memorial High, in Cox's Bazaar, Bangaldesh. The visitors brought colour and curiosity to the school for a week whilst they observed lessons, ate lunch with the children and enjoyed a special "Class Assembly" by Y5 on Ghandi and Rights of freedom. They packed alot into their trip, from visiting other schools in the Aycliffe/ Bishop Auckland cluster to Durham Cathedral and University, the Bowes Museum and Teesdale, Raby Castle, Woodham Comprehensive and also a visit to County Hall for afternoon tea. We are sure that when our two teachers, Mrs Lakey and Mrs Cooper, visit Bangaldesh themselves next month they too will come back buzzing with ideas and ways that we can use artefacts and information to enahnce our children's teachning and learning experiences.
    Good times indeed!
