Anti-bullying Week starts this week (11th -15th November 2019). The theme for this year is 'Change starts with us!' Children will also take part in PSHCE lessons this week on the theme 'Change starts with us'.
Unfortunately, we were not successful in gaining funding for our proposed outreach provision so we have therefore redeveloped two areas within school to provide suitable group learning areas that can be used as required. The children helped with the themes and design and we have an area called "In the Trees" for younger children and "The Hobbitt Hole" for older ones. We have also distributed all computers from the "suite" into classes and have purchased new Yoga Laptops which will be developed into "learning hubs" in both learning areas of the school. The IT Suite will be redeveloped into a working area for our new Learning Mentor, when they are in post (hopefully Autumn 2018)

Parents and friends joined us in class, on the 6th February, for our third 'Teach-In.' Children were learning about story writing and enjoyed being able to use the adults ideas to improve their work. Thank you to everyone who came along. Our next 'Teach-In' will take place from 9-10am on Friday 20th March. The lesson will be on word problems, please come and join in!
As part of the Greggs Tackling Health Programme, Year 3/4 children are working with the Newcastle Falcons every Wednesday, this half term, to learn about healthy eating and exercise. The children are loving the sessions so far and were really excited to take part in the loudest crowd competition, which will take place on Friday 21st November. Their entry is below...but beware...it is LOUD! It will be played in the stadium alongside the crowd.

Our video will be part of the Newcastle Falcons entry for the loudest crowd this Weekend. They said we were the loudest yet! The children shouted "St Francis bring the noise!"
