Adverse Weather Policy (By children, for children)

In our school we would like to tell you about our weather policy because we would like to keep you safe and happy as we possibly could. So here are the things that we need to bring to school.

When raining:

  • Wellies but still bring shoes in a bag
  • Waterproof coat
  • Hat, scarf and gloves
  • Still bring a bag

When sunny:

  • Wear some sun cream
  • Still bring a coat but you do not need to wear it
  • Water bottle filled with fresh water
  • Try to bring some sun glasses but you don't have to wear them

When on school trips

  • Still bring a coat even if it is cold or sunny
  • Bring a packed lunch if needed
  • Bring anything medical such as inhaler and sick tablets prescribed by your home doctor.

Please make sure you bring all of this school for your own safety and happiness and also for your own safety please don't take any one else's medication. Weather, as you should know, could be very dangerous and that is why we provide you with this chance to bring your own things to school. If you loose any letters about what you need to bring to school tell us on the morning and we will provide you with a new letter so your parents can get what you need.

If you do forget to bring a coat or jumper you will be provided with a coat / jumper from lost property. You will hopefully bring your coat and jumper for the next day so you will be nice and warm.

When the clouds look like they are going to rain please just bring your coat for your own sake.

The teachers will put you on the behaviour tracking sheet if you don't bring not just your coat or jumper but also if you don't bring the correct equipment.
