Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND Information Report) Reviewed October 2017

Welcome to our SEND information report which is part of the Durham local offer for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. Please click on the stars below for more information.

All Governing bodies of maintained schools have a legal duty to publish information on their website about the implementation of SEND. The Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND).  This is known as the Local Offer.

At St Francis' School we are committed to the equal inclusion of all pupils in all areas of School life. We recognise the diverse and individual needs of all of our pupils and take into account the additional support required by those children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Further information about the County Durham Local Offer can be found on the County Durham Families Information Service website (see links below). This informs our school Local Offer.

We have now finalised our Local Offer and have consulted with members of the community and the Children's Council.   If you would like to discuss our Local Offer in detail please contact the school office to make an appointment with Mrs Lakey (SENCO).
