House Team Day a singing success

Staff and pupils enjoyed wearing house team colours for the day. Each team with members from across the school had the opportunity to get to know their team members better.

In Blue house Y3 and Y4 proved a mean match for Y5 and Y6 in warm-up games. The day was spent learning songs and putting dance moves to them. Miss Parker from Durham Music Service spent time with each house, adding harmonies.

All teams performed to a fantastic audience of family and friends. Yellow house kicked off the show with some groovy dance moves and had worked very hard on the speedy, wordy Michael Jackson track. They looked very smart in their yellow ties. Blue followed with two Y6 boys opening the Kings of Leon track. heir painted faces made the audience giggle. Next was green house with great harmonies and dance moves. Two girls led the song and dancing with flare and enthusiasm. Finally red gave a killer performance of I'm a Believer from Shrek.

Mrs Wilkinson judged the show marking teams for musicality, enjoyment, and dancing. Scores were tight with only one mark between 1st and 2nd place. Green were second and Blue house won.

We can't wait for the next house team day. Well done to everyone for their concentration, determination and had work that made the show a musical extravaganza.
